Yes. The luggage scale runs on button cells, which are allowed in the hold as well as in the cabin. The compartment opens from the inside and they are replaced in a few seconds.

The materialBayer polycarbonate
Developed in 1953.
Still used in aviation.
The shell is moulded in Makrolon® polycarbonate. It takes the impact, deforms, then returns to its shape, where a rigid plastic cracks.
The closureAluminium frame
An aluminium frame,
not a zip.
The rim locks with a metal frame. Nothing to cut, nothing to force, and no deformation after years of use.

The built-in cable
Charging without

A battery on the inside cable, a cable on the two side ports: your phone charges without taking the battery out.

Two questions that come up
Yes, once the battery is taken out: it travels with you in the cabin, as airlines require.
No. The two USB ports connect to your own external battery, removable in a few seconds for the flights where that is required. On the Cabine and the Check-in, the ports are on top and it sits in the front pocket. The Trunk has no front pocket: its two ports are on the side, and the battery connects to the built-in cable, inside the suitcase.
